Vorac-0645-Lefty,-MD-State-Champ-Suffolk-Ram,-late-jr-ram-lamb-350x296

Pictured is our late junior ram lamb #0645 “Lefty” which was 2006 Champion Suffolk Ram at the Maryland State Fair. It’s very unusual for a Junior Ram Lamb, let alone a Late Junior Ram Lamb to win at the state level.

2006.  We were very excited to have won the Premier Suffolk Exhibitor Award at the 2006 Maryland State Fair.  The Premier Exhibitor for each breed is determined by the total points earned in the show ring.

A big thank you to Kelly Mansfield of Spring Breeze Farm, Kearneysville, WV, for her assistance in helping to train “Lefty”, and her assistance in the show ring.

2007.  First lambs born were a set of triplet ewe lambs, born 1/18/2007.  This dam produced triplet male lambs in 2006.  One lamb (Vorac 0639) was the Grand Champion 4-H Market Lamb at the Garrett County Fair, raised and shown by 4-H’er Ethan Broadwater.  Ethan’s photo with his 4-H Project Lamb is in the Photo section.
